Beach It

English springer spaniel beach it Beach It

We spend most of our days rowing and rowing our boat through waters that sometimes are calm but often are roiling with turbulence.  Instead of trying so hard, we need to bring our boat to shore and leave it at waters edge while we run free.

Joyful Springers beach it.  They know that the way to achieve their desires to to stop laboring at the oars and instead just frolic in the sand.

Life’s beach is a place of appreciation and happy thought. When you understand that being in that place is more important that struggling through the days, you’ll discover how easy life can be.

[Mukki Latte and Elliot are back.  The playful 5-year old and 6-year old Springers belong to Jeannine Springer (a perfect last name for a proud Springer dog mom). Thanks Mukki Latte and Elliot for guest starring again on The Joyful Springer.]

Look Beyond The Snapshot

Life comes at us fast, so we have a tendency to make snap judgments.  We see something and instantaneously interpret it.

The problem with doing this is that we almost always see things out of context.  We don’t have all the information we need to accurately understand its meaning.

Joyful Springers look beyond the snapshot.  They wait for things to unfold before they decide how to respond to what they experience.

What you see today may seem sad or tragic or infuriating, but if you wait for the whole scene to play out, you will find a different and more joyful truth.

[Ducky doesn't have a single vicious bone in her body; but if you didn't know that and saw this photo, you'd think she was about to tear her friend, Dixie's, head off.  Dixie, a sweet German short-haired pointer, and Ducky are best of friends, and enjoy play growling and gnawing on each other.]
