Cushion Yourself
Novelist Booth Tarkington wrote,“Cherish all your happy moments: they make a fine cushion for old age.” Good advice, but you don’t have to wait until old age to enjoy that cushion.
Joyful Springer cushion themselves with memories of happy times. They don’t go back and dig up the bad stuff. They play with the good stuff over and over.
The joyful moments of your past can become a comforting base from which to create a happy present. Hold your good memories close, and let the rest go.
… another wise tidbit from a joyful English Springer Spaniel.
[Ben is back. In this photo, Ben, Sophie's half-brother, was sacking out to catch up on sleep after spending a few days on the farm with his grandparents in the UK. Thanks, Ben, for guest starring again on The Joyful Springer.]
