Dwight David Eisenhower said, “Pull the string, and it will follow wherever you wish. Push it, and it will go nowhere at all.”

Joyful Springers pull the string.  Instead of trying to push against the world around them and force things into place, they ARE the way they want the world to be.  Because they embody the qualities and experiences they want, those things willingly follow.

Are you flowing with the world around you or trying to push it into some form you’ve decided is right?  Try being what you want to see in the world and watch how the world molds itself to follow your lead.

Who doesn’t love that ahh feeling of laying your head down on a nice, cushy pillow.  That feeling of comfort is something we all need to feel regularly.

Joyful Springers protect their pillow.  They create an oasis of comfort in their lives no matter what’s going on.

Sometimes comfort is easy to come by.  Sometimes, it seems elusive.  It’s up to you to find a way to comfort yourself every day.  It’s essential to your health and well being.

Joyful Springers use what’s convenient.  Before they get new stuff, they look to what they have and use it in creative ways.

Why make life difficult and expensive?  Look around and see what you have that will serve you before you go out and get something new.

It could be.

It’s the buying time of year, the busy, buzzing time of year when the advertisers flood us with images of others using and having things, trying to convince us that we must use them and have them to.  We must give this gift because it’s the popular gift.  We must have parties because that’s what the successful people are doing.  We can drive ourselves crazy trying to keep up.

Joyful Springers mimic consciously.  They may do what someone else is doing, but they do so because it feels right to them.  They never do something just because someone else is doing it.

You can get great information by seeing what others are doing.  But it’s just information. It’s not a command to follow.

Every day, in every moment, you have access to lack and to abundance.  It’s up to you what you focus on.

Impatience.

Doubt and impatience are energies that block success.  Replace them with trust and acceptance of the way things are now, and you’ll speed toward your desires.

They say the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.  So why not live on the other side of the fence?

Joyful Springers always lie on greener grass.  They decide that where they are is the best place to be.  They don’t waste time coveting what they can’t have right now.

If you think the best things are out of your reach, they will be.  If you feel like you have it pretty darn good right now, not only will it be, but it will just get better and better.

When someone we love has a problem, we want to rush in and solve it for them.  We want to “fix” things.  But this isn’t the best thing we can do.

Joyful Springers are supportive.  They allow their loved ones to grow and meet their own challenges, but they stay close by to offer comfort and guidance.

The people you love don’t need you to take over their lives.  They just need your love and support.  All you have to do is stay close and offer encouragement.

Why is it we’re always so impatient to master a skill or reach the goal?  In our rush to get to the end of the road, we often make a mess of the journey.

Joyful Springers are of good vintage.  They understand that “aging,” the slow unfolding of time, is what makes every year a great year.

Wine can taste pretty lousy when you drink it too soon after it’s made.  And you can have a lousy life if you get in too much of a hurry.  Allow your life to unfold in its own timing.  You won’t want to be done anytime soon anyway, do you?
