Be bigger than you are Rudie Be Bigger Than You Are

Are you making yourself small?

When you hang on to old stories of limitation, you are being  “small.”

Joyful Springers know how to be bigger than they are.  They expand beyond limitations.

[Meet Rudie. In this photo, he's just one month old.  Rudie is Jackie's (who moved from California to Illinois a few months ago) new little brother.  Rudie is short for Rudolph, and he was named after the red-nosed reindeer because he was born on December 23.  Rudie has a bit of a cleft lip, but who cares?  He's as cute as can be!!]

NOTE:  You’ll notice from this point on that I’m shortening up the text part of the posts and no longer putting in links to a guest star’s previous post. I hope these changes suit us both!  They’ll make the posts quicker for you to read (and let’s face it–the photos are what make the posts great!).  And they’ll make it quicker for me to do, which helps me keep this blog going.

We live in a consumer society.  Ads to buy this or that bombard us daily.  A newer version of the latest doodad comes out every week.  Many of us go into debt trying to accumulate as much as we possibly can … and we’re rarely happier for it.

Joyful Springers make the most of their bones.  They savor the heck out of what they have instead of shoving it aside to chase after something new.

Do you get the most out of the gadgets and clothes and books and other possessions you own? If you’ve been yearning for some new thing you think you have to have, stop a second and really appreciate and use what you already have.  Relishing what’s in your life now will probably make you happier than any new whatsit ever could.

We go around feeling like we’re alone and separate.  We think we’re different than, less than, better than, or other than.  The truth is we’re all connected, and in the connection lies our power.

Joyful Springers get entangled.  They understand the quantum physics concept of entanglement–the universal truth that all energy is connected to all other energy.  They also know that when they trust in that connection, they call on a power a gazillion times greater than their own.

Take a few moments today … and everyday … to close your eyes and imagine your energy reaching out to the universe and the whole universe’s energy flowing back to you.  If you do this, you’ll find that your mind is clearer and your energy level is higher.  And you’ll be happier too.

Do they put impatience in the drinking water these days?  It seems like we’re all in such a rush to find answers and get what we want.  In fact, we’re so busy hurrying on to the next thing that we miss what’s right there … if only we took the time to look for it.

Joyful Springers search behind cushions.  They understand that the way to get what they want isn’t to rush all over but to really  pay attention to what’s around them.

What you want and need could be within your reach right now but because you’re so busy doing, you’re not seeing.  When you slow down, your inner wisdom will remind you to check your immediate surroundings and what you already know to get what you seek.

Denise wrote to me, “One night she just kept diving down into the cushions and coming up with another toy.
