Climb Into The Fountain

english springer spaniel climb into the fountain Climb Into The Fountain

Actress Sophia Loren said, “There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.”

Joyful Springers climb into the fountain.  They don’t care about how old they are in years.  They care only about keeping active in mind, body, and soul.

When you put your talent to use day after day, when you find outlets for your creativity, when you find ways to improve your mind each day, you don’t grow older.  You remain instead in the everlasting youthful energy of eager discovery.  Don’t focus on the years that have gone by or on the wrinkles that have shown up on your skin.  Instead, focus on the ways you can use your energy to create joy today.  Joy is the magic ingredient in the fountain of youth.

Peek through the slats Murphy and Ollie Lee LInenburg Peek Through The Slats

Sometimes it can feel like what we want is very far away.  Though we used to have a clear vision of our dream, now we can barely see it. When this happens, we have to find a way to get our goal back in focus.

Joyful Springers peek through the slats.  By looking for things to appreciate and things that feel good, they find the path of least resistance to get their focus back on what they want.

When a dream is a long time coming, your disappointment puts you out of vibrational sync with what you want.  Appreciating and doing things that make you feel good help you get in vibrational alignment with your desires again.  Once you’re in alignment, you can put your happy focus back on what you want and watch it appear in your life.

Make Your Own Splash

Friday, July 30th, 2010

english springer spaniel make your own splash Make Your Own Splash

So your competitor is kicking up his heels in triumph because of his huge sales.  Your neighbor is preening over a new car.  Your sister is showing off her new boyfriend.  It seems like all around you, people are making a splash, and you’re feeling left out.

Guess what?  You don’t need to worry about their successes.  Other people’s achievements can’t detract from your own.

Joyful Springers make their own splash.  They don’t care if others are doing bigger and better things because they know that their own thing is good enough if they just stick with it.

When you look at others’ accomplishments and envy or resent them, you take energy away from your own endeavors.  Your dream is just as important and just as viable as those of the people you see around you.  Claim your own spot in the ocean of abundance.

Face It Eagerly

Archie Jens jack russell face it eagerly Face It Eagerly

A line from a Mark Akenside poem reads, “Seeks painted trifles and fantastic toys, and eagerly pursues imaginary joys.”

Joyful Springers face it eagerly.  “It” is visions of wonder and magic and joy.  They look toward their future with exuberant anticipation.

Instead of keeping your focus on an unpleasant present, put your expectant attention on a delightful future.  The energy of your keen desire can turn the imaginary into reality.

Load Yourself Up And Go

Friday, July 9th, 2010

engilsh springer spaniel load yourself up and go Load Yourself Up And Go

Pooh’s Little Instruction Book includes this bit of wisdom:  “You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”

Although expecting and wanting what we want in our lives is essential to creating what we want, we can’t just sit around and wait for miracles.  We have to take the energy of our desires and allow it to lead us to inspired action.

Joyful Springers load themselves up and go.  They fill themselves with visions of who they want to know and what they want to experience, and then they follow their instincts and go for what they want when it feels right.

If you’ve been waiting a long time for something to happen, spend some time today feeling like it already has.  Then pay attention to what you feel like doing next … and go where your spirit leads you.

[Meet Emma, and say hello again to Sidney. Emma was only eight years old when she passed away on May 8, 2009.  The slow and gentle girl who earned the nickname, Eeyore, because she moved like the character in the Winnie the Pooh stories, belonged for an all-too short eighteen months to Catherine Jones.  Not long after Emma was adopted, she developed cancer, and in spite of a valiant and graceful battle with the disease, she moved on from this world to a place of pure comfort and joy.  She passed away in Catherine's arms, as Catherine soothed her by singing, "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine." Catherine says Emma left a "big impression on many people."  Emma, Catherine says, "taught us so much in the short time she was with us."  Sidney grieved the loss of her "sister" deeply.  Be always in joy, Emma and thanks, Emma and Sidney, for guest starring on The Joyful Springer.]

Use Your Elfin Magic

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

Greater swiss mountain dog use your elfin magic Use Your Elfin Magic

We tend to think that magic is something found only in books and movies … and maybe in the hollow tree where Keebler elves make cookies.

The truth is, though, we all have “magic powers.”  We have the ability to use our deliberate thought to shape our reality.

Joyful Springers use their elfin magic to create joy in their lives.  They know their thoughts have power, and they choose happy thoughts about what they desire in their lives.

The people at Keebler aren’t the only ones with access to elfin magic.  You have it too.  Use your magic today.
