Actress Mae West said, “Life’s just a merry-go-round. Come on up. You might get a brass ring.”

Joyful Springers grab the ring. They understand that when they stay in the merry game of life with a good attitude, they’re in position to seize opportunities.

Everyday, circumstances and people come your way to provide you with chances to create exactly the life you want. If you don’t have a “come on up” attitude, you won’t even notice the potential unfolding in front of you. “Brass rings” are within your grasp everyday. You just have to be riding high enough to see them.

Run With The Baton

It’s a cliche, but it’s one worth repeating: Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Or as author and speaker Og Mandino said, ”Take the baton, now. Run with it! This is your day!”

Joyful Springers run with the baton. They grab hold of opportunity when they spot it, and they charge forward.

When you see possibility, don’t hesitate. Embrace it. Act on it. Race on into your best life.

[Ducky has discovered the joys of carrying sticks on the beach. We have to show her how to find the balance point so she doesn't drag them, but once she has a good hold of it, she's off and running. Keep away is one of her favorite games.]

Open Wide

An old proverb says, “The door of opportunity is wide open if you are prepared.” In order to be prepared, you must remain in expectation of wonder.

Joyful Springers open wide to the triumphs of life. They leap toward delight with abandon.

Possibility can’t get past the barriers of negativity and fear. Drop your barriers today and open yourself to the happy experiences you want.

Focus is important, but focus without awareness of what’s around you can result in a lot of missed opportunities. Sometimes the best things in our lives sneak in from the side.

Joyful Springers check the periphery from time to time. They look around with an attitude of joyful expectation, ready for any new experience that comes their way.

Pay attention to the peripheral stuff in your life. You might find something great there.
