This time of year is magical for most of us. Why? Because we look forward to celebration and the delight of surprises soon to come. In other words, we know fun is just around the corner. That’s the magic.

How can we find that magic in the rest of the year?

Joyful Springers are expectant. They live in a state of eager anticipation. So they find magic in everyday.

Do you expect wonder everyday? Or do you just expect the ordinary? Whatever you expect determines not only how much enjoyment you have in your days but what shows up in your days. Try expecting fun, and watch the magic happen.

A line from a Mark Akenside poem reads, “Seeks painted trifles and fantastic toys, and eagerly pursues imaginary joys.”

Joyful Springers face it eagerly. “It” is visions of wonder and magic and joy. They look toward their future with exuberant anticipation.

Instead of keeping your focus on an unpleasant present, put your expectant attention on a delightful future. The energy of your keen desire can turn the imaginary into reality.
